Ahh memories - I loved Spinalonga and enjoyed the Island too Anne x
ReplyDeleteI also have a love of Greece and all things Greek and visit the hillside village of Fodele in Crete every year, whilst also taking a trip to see my old school friend who lives in Chania and has done for 17 years.
ReplyDeleteI haven't yet been to Spinalonga and we were planning to go this year but someone told me it had closed to the public. I'm hoping that's not the case!
Great post Anne.
Try Thimio's House by John Kefala Kerr. A uniquely poetic novel set in Greece during the current Economic crisis.
ReplyDeleteGreat suggestion, thank you for taking the time to highlight it to us!
