  12. I'd love to review The Double Comfort Safari Club by Alexander McCall Smith - his books about Botswana are so evocative.

    I couldn't see anything for Christopher Brookmyre? He is clear head and shoulders above anyone else writing about Scotland.

  13. Take a look at JACK OF HEARTS. I don't see it on your list. Some nice reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. Set in Italy (Rome and Tuscany) and written in the sensory POV of a dog. Food, wine, Italian landscapes and characters, both Italian and canine insight.
